Until Everybody's Free

Until Everybody's Free

Summary

Recent™ collaborated with The Black Archives to design a print publication that extended the dialogue of their Museumnacht exhibition beyond the gallery walls. Referencing the visual codes of historical activist newspapers—most notably those of the Black Panther movement—the publication serves as both a tribute to political print culture and a platform for contemporary voices.

Choosing a tactile, take-home format allowed the studio to bridge archival storytelling with present-day urgency. All illustrations were developed in-house, reinforcing the message through bold, expressive visual language. The result is a printed artifact that invites ongoing reflection on justice, equality, and solidarity—long after the exhibition closes.
